Highlights
- The overall percentage of successful outcomes nine months after graduation is nearly 93% for all undergraduate colleges. A more significant figure is that this is based on an almost 80% response rate of graduates from DEC, 2008 through AUG, 2009.
- Successful outcomes of graduates are 92% for CoBA, 92% for CCAS and 94% for SON. These percentages are significantly better than most other US colleges and universities.
- Starting salaries for Creighton College of Business graduates increased by 2% overall in a year where average salaries for business school graduates declined nationally.
- Acceptance to graduate and professional school for graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences is nearly 54%, an increase of 5% over last year. As in most years, this percentage exceeds 60% when including graduates that pursue advanced study one year after their undergraduate degree.
- The College of Business rate of grad/professional school enrollment increased by 6% to 23%. This is significantly higher than most business schools.
- Salary averages for all undergraduates are very competitive with national salary data despite geographic placements being primarily in the Midwest where the cost of living is much lower than the national average.
Special note: Despite the challenges in the current economy, campus recruiting activity of employers that hire Creighton interns and graduates has not slowed during the 2008-09 academic year. This is outstanding evidence of the quality of a Creighton education as perceived by employers who hire Creighton students.
