tipping point

Lianna NgHello!

So today marks the first day of my Spring Break, and it definitely feels like it. The air is so clean and crisp and the sky is blue and cloudless. So beautiful! If there were leaves on the trees, you might think it to be a clear autumn day. The snow is finally melting and i think that spring might be here a little early this year! It was a pretty harsh winter, so i'll be happy to see the last of the ice melt away off the sidewalks....also since that means i can ditch the treadmill and start doing my long runs outside again.

other than the weather...went to the johnmayer concert at the Qwest Center last night here is the set list.(yes i kept track of what he played)..he left me speechless once again:

Heartbreak Warfare
Vultures
Slowdancing in a Burning Room
Crossroads
Perfectly Lonely

Spring Break is finally here!

Kelley WanzeckAs the weather in Omaha has finally started to warm up to almost 40 degrees (a big jump for those of us who have been experiencing below freezing temperatures for way too long now) everyone's mind has begun to turn to the much anticipated spring break which will begin after classes tomorrow!

I could not be more excited as the end of the first half of my last semester at Creighton marks a lot of exciting things for me! Up until last weekend, I had spent the last 5 weekends travleing to new destinations interviewing for a position in a Ph. Program in Biomedical Sciences. Spring Break marks the end of the maddness and a time for me to reflect on the schools I have seen as well as a time to begin thinking about where I might see myself fol

reggae time in omaha

Lianna NgThe cold weather here is enough to make anyone want to run to the bed and hide under the covers until march, but recently there have been more than enough reasons for me to throw on some party clothes and brave the snow on the ground.

Last weekend, the band Rebelution played at the Slowdown, a concert venue set up by Omaha's own Connor Oburst (lead singer of the band Bright Eyes). The crowd was a mixed bag, with many of the Hawaii kids making the trip down to see the reggae band in action. The show was by no means a disapointment- they band was great the joint was "bumping". i loved seeing some familiar faces, and some new ones too!

other exciting news...I've got tickets to see john mayer in action coming up at the beginning of next month- I also got to see him 2 years ago when i was a sophomore, he usually makes a stop in omaha about once a year.Read more . . .
